Military - POLYMER KNIFE HANDLES

Military knives, military tools- dodaj opis

In the category of polymer handles fall handles made of different rubbers and polymers. Polymer handles do not demand such care as handles made of wood, steels or similar materials. However, the downside of such handles is that those made of plastic can be slippery. For a better grip, manufacturers use indentations on a surface or design handles more ergonomically. Polymers are good insulators, and can therefore be used without gloves, even at low temperatures. They are also totally water resistant. Polymers are appropriate as handle material for outdoor, hunting and tactical knives.

POLYMER HANDLES

Common Polymer handles are easy to clean and a very popular choice for knife handles everywhere the knife is often in contact with meat and other food. Therefore, polymer is highly suitable for handles of all kinds of kitchen knives and professional butcher knives.

RUBBER HANDLES

Rubber handles with a ridged surface texture are not slippery, even when wet. Therefore, they are appropriate for sports knife handles, especially for diving and nautical knives.

ZYTEL KNIFE HANDLES

Zytel is thermoplastic polyamide, which has very good toughness, strength, wear and impact resistance. The German knife company Pohl Force uses it for tactical knife handle manufacturing.

 KRAY-EX KNIFE HANDLES

Kray-Ex has a great grip, is comfortable, and is a good insulator. The American knife company Cold Steel uses it for tactical and hunting knife handles.

NYLON AND POLYPROPYLENE KNIFE HANDLES

The Italian knife company Maserin uses polypropylene for tactical knife handles, and polypropylene with P.O.M. label for kitchen knife handles.
